Just another day in paradise...

Our first adventure on the Great Barrier Reef coast was a kayak trip.  The water was choppy and a little scary but our guide took good care of us and we had a great time.

The Great Barrier Reef

This is called Heart Reef for obvious reasons.  It's probably the most photographed chunk of reef in the world.

The plane windows had little holes in them and I assumed they were for taking pictures more clearly.  It was nearly impossible to hold the camera still enough to avoid the edges of the holes, but better than nothing.
We flew several miles out to the Reef and landed on the water.  Next, we transferred to a boat anchored there...and then we snorkeled.  Oh, my, what colors and shapes...both coral and fish.  If you could do just one thing at the Great Barrier Reef, this is what I would recommend.

 Heart Reef again...
