Foggy in Oregon with Janice
Getting up and out of the house by 8am is a real sacrifice for my sister, Janice. She loves the lazy morning with her coffee pot. We don't get much fog in Kennewick so I was really excited to catch some of that lovely, dreamy look they take for granted in Western Oregon...but it had to be done pretty early in the day.
I added some overlay to make these photos look more vintage...you see some of my attempts here.
No overlay on the barn above.
With fog and without fog on this barn.
We wandered and stopped and wandered some more until there was no more fog to find. It was a wonderful morning. Thank you, Janice.

Mister Macca

Mark Cunningham and I first met on the bank of the Columbia River...both drawn by wonderful clouds reflecting on an unusually calm river. Mark is a talented photographer (among other things) from Great Britain who works to play. During his latest stay in Oregon and Washington, Mark and I spent time wandering over hill and dale looking for loveliness to record.
This was Twin Sisters at sunrise...that meant meeting at 5:45am...yow...so worth it when you're standing there on top of the world looking down on creation.
This sweet keyhole shot was Mark's idea. I shamelessly copied.

Magnificent Montana
I'm having a bit of a love affair with Chief Cliff in Elmo, Montana. Its distinctive shape and perfect-for-photographers orientation keep luring me back for more.
My sister, Mary, her husband, Tom, their friend, Betty Jo, and I got up early one morning and drove to Glacier Park. Conditions were less than ideal but we found things to photograph anyway.
More Flathead Lake beautiousness.
Hairy Woodpecker Big Horn Sheep
Low hanging clouds and frost on the trees made this area along the Clark Fork River quite extraordinary looking.
